About

I'm Yeabsira Desalegn, a software engineer from Ethiopia. I primarily work on backend systems and DevOps. Every now and then, I branch out into native mobile and web applications.
I'm naturally curious about how things work, and I enjoy turning that curiosity into software that people find useful. Open source development is also a core part of my philosophy. It helps me continue learning while giving back to the tools and communities that shape our industry.
I’m a big believer that good software is flexible and built for the long haul. That is, building things in a way that is easy to maintain over time. It also means making sure the experience stays reliable for the people who use it. When I design a system, I try to think past what’s needed right now and leave room for growth. I aim for a “just works” experience for users, even if getting there takes a lot of care behind the scenes.
